
Live music in Bali is everywhere. Whether you’re looking for a small jazz café, reggae on the beach, a club for a DJ, a cover band in a shopping mall, or an indoor sports bar for blues, you’ll find it all in Bali.
It doesn’t matter what your situation is, listening to live music and meeting new people from all over the world is always a good thing.
Music will find you in Bali, but I’ve included a few of my favorite venues where you can hear it performed live.
Balawan Gamelan Fusion performed at Griya Santrian Hotel in Sanur, Bali, Indonesia on February 17th, 2018. Indonesian jazz musician Wayan Balawan and the Balinese gamelan music group Lila Cita performed melodious and smooth strains of Yogyakarta-style gamelan as an introduction to the Jazz and Gamelan Collaboration event.
Danilla Riyadi at 2017 Folk Music Festival , is an Indonesian singer and actress who has released two studio albums: Telisik (2014) and Lintasan Waktu (2017); and one EP: Fingers (2019). The reception to her debut album resulted in her being named 2014’s “Best New Act” by Rolling Stone Indonesia.
Bali’s own Navicula, performed at Beer Brother’s on October 25, 2018 with Gede Robi Supriyanto (Robi) on vocals and guitar, Dadang Pranoto (Dankie) on guitar, Supriatmoko (Palel Atmoko) on drums, and Krishnanda Adipurba (Khrisna) on bass. This band is famous for its grunge music, which is influenced by Balinese culture. Navicula also uses a variety of music, such as folk rock, psychedelic rock, funk, blues, and punk . Due to their frequent involvement in social and environmental activism, they are nicknamed “the Green Grunge Gentlemen.“

The Lawn
Brandon Paak Anderson better known by his stage name Anderson Paak (/pæk, pɑːk/), an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and drummer who decided to perform at the Lawn in Canggu, Bali, indonesia.

The Orchard Bar & Restaurant
Bali Ocean Side event which was held at The Orchard BALI, the event was enlivened by Richard D’gilis, Ian Kaya, Izzy.

Hard Rock Cafe
Within walking distance to Kuta Beach, you can’t miss this hotel with a giant guitar in the entrance and other rock & roll-themed touches throughout the rest of the property. Performers from all over the globe, as well as the occasional surprise visitor like WIDI VOB, hit the stage each night of the week.

live music in Bali: Blues Fest 2018
Due to COVID-19 outbreaks on the island and travel restrictions, Bluesfest has been suspended since 2019, with a potential revenue of over $200 million USD. Rama Satria, Gugun Blues Shelter, Dikta Wicaksono, Ginda Bestari, Jakarta Blues Factory, and Surabaya Bluesmates were among the Indonesian artists who performed at the 2018 Bali Blues Fest. Bali Crazy Horse, Bali Floyd, The Hydrant, Ubud Bluesers, Sunburst, and North Bali Crossroad are among the other well-known bands. Fernando Noronha, a guitarist and songwriter best known for his work with the Brazilian blues band Ronaldgang, was among the international performers at the event.
If all goes well, Fat Freddy’s Drop, John Williamson, C.W. Stoneking, Josh Teskey, and Ash Grunwald are among the Australian and New Zealand musicians featured at the 2022 Bluesfest.
